THE CERAMIC TOUR OF F.WIDAYANTO

Rumah Keramik is the home of F Widayanto which consist of his artistic collections on ceramics & paintings. This type of tropical house is built in 1997 on the land of more or less 1 hectare. It has several locations to visit like traditional wooden houses ( Jineng Kerbau ), gallery shop, ceramics studio, restourant and the main house. The main house is a place where F Widayanto puts his masterpiece creations & other cultural heritages.

F. Widayanto  is the founder of Rumah Keramik. He is a high discipline artist. He was born in Jakarta in 1953. He graduated from the Institute of Technology Bandung ( ITB ) from the faculty of fine art & design. His interest on ceramics has brought him to develop & popularize ceramic art in Indonesia. There are many people who are expert in ceramics but he is the only one who has great concern for the development of ceramics art. He often holds some ceramics exhibitions periodically in some cities in Indonesia & other countries. He has inspired many people to study more about ceramics art.

By using a motto “ Leads ceramics to the World “, F Widayanto has been the leader of ceramics art. He obtained some awards  from several institutions for his contribution to the development of ceramics in Indonesia. The followings are the exhibitions he held since 1987. they are as follows :

The inspirations of F widayanto always come from the garden filled with diverse plants, fruits and unique flowers. The F widayanto’s pets also plays a good role as a source of inspiration. Because without them (animals), the artistic touch seems to be flat in the ceramic art of Fwidayanto. Regards creation of the nation that full of innovation for the future, Thanks

Almost all-ceramic made by f widayanto based on mythology, both Indonesia and other countries, which is wrapped with a notch or motivated forms of beautiful flora and fauna F widayanto is a highly disciplined artist because for nearly two years he always held a solo exhibition.
